A chronograph inspired by the Swiss Furka Pass.

The distinctive case made of brushed 316 stainless steel and the matte dark blue dial are reminiscent of the steep rock walls of the world-famous Alpine pass. The road pass, located at an altitude of 2,429 meters in the Swiss Alps, is considered extremely difficult to drive and demands a lot from even experienced drivers. In terms of appearance, the tachymeter lives up to its sporty background. The tachymeter scale and colored highlights in blue, red, and green would also be a real eye-catcher in the cockpit of a sports car. The chronograph functions allow for measuring time in seconds and minutes. The large highlight second hand in signal red stops the time down to the second.

Worry-free thanks to sapphire crystal

We only use sapphire crystal for our timepieces. This type of watch glass is usually found in the luxury watch market.

For a perfect view of the dial, we apply a double anti-reflective coating to the sapphire crystal.

What exactly is sapphire crystal?

Sapphire is the third hardest transparent material in the world - after diamond and moissanite.

Curved sapphire crystal not only looks good, it makes the durable watch crystal even more resistant.

This makes it virtually impossible for your sapphire crystal watch to get scratched in everyday life.

Thoughtful design details

The tachymeter dial is made up of 29 individual parts. The main dial is cast into shape, creating a unique, grainy surface texture reminiscent of the curvy, asphalted Furkapass. Twelve applied mirror indices and signal-red or yellow-orange highlights create light effects and add color to the timepiece. The love for detail in the tachymeter can only be fully appreciated when held in your hands.

How to read a tachymeter scale?

1 — Check your mileage. At the next kilometer mark, start the tachymeter by pressing the start button (button A). The central chronograph hand will move.

2 — Keep an eye on the mileage display. At the next kilometer mark (1 km), pause the stopwatch (button A).

3 — You can now read your average speed on the tachymeter scale.

What our customers say about us

Why we make Bauhaus watches?

In your search for a classic and durable watch, you are faced with 2 alternatives today:

1. you can buy a watch from a luxury manufacturer for a very high price, or
2. a watch from a trendy brand whose quality is as short-lived as the trend that made the brand popular.

When I worked in a watch manufactory during my school days and was looking for a watch for myself, I realised that there would have to be a 3rd alternative.

3. Since 2016, we have been breaking new ground and developing timeless Bauhaus-style watches that will outlive trends and continue to give pleasure for many years to come. And all that at a fair price.

In the meantime, over 53,000 watch lovers are convinced of our mission and our watch design has received several awards.

Multifunctional chronograph movement

The OS20 quartz movement from the renowned Japanese manufacturer Miyota equips the tachymeter with a wealth of functions: a 24-hour display is located at 3 o'clock, and the date function is integrated into the totalizer of the small and continuously running second hand at 6 o'clock. The hand on the 9 o'clock sub-dial displays elapsed minutes when the chronograph button is activated. You can stop the time to the nearest second using the upper of the two buttons.

Cowhide strap, made in Germany

The tachymeter's leather strap comes from a Bavarian manufacturing company. To maintain the natural texture of the leather, we primarily work with fully tanned bands rather than painted ones. This complex tanning process makes each leather strap a handmade unique piece. The brown strap, including decorative stitching, complements the watch's colors and completes the overall picture.

Easy strap change without tools

Thanks to the quick-change system, you can give your timepiece a new look in just 10 seconds:

1 — Slide the pin of the spring bar inwards.

2 — Pull the strap off the watch.

3 — Put on a new strap by sliding the pin inwards again and inserting the spring bar one after the other into the holes in the case.

The Tachymeter in the press

"This is a watch that does what it says on the tin. It is straightforward and uncomplicated. With a 10mm thickness, a 50mm lug-to-lug, and 50m water resistance, it’s perfectly sized and sufficiently tough to be worn on a daily basis."
