Marus 2.0. Built to handle pressure. Made for everyday life.

The Marus 2.0 is the result of a complete redesign of the sold-out original Marus. With improved legibility and user-friendly features, it is built to meet the demands of everyday life.

Water-resistant up to 20 bar, this timepiece is ready for almost any situation such as showering, swimming or water sports. Its impressive durability is made possible by a screw-down crown with a dual-seal system, a screw-down case back and precisely engineered gaskets throughout the case construction. This ensures the movement remains reliably protected even under high water pressure.

Worry-free thanks to sapphire crystal

We only use sapphire crystal for our timepieces. This type of watch glass is usually found in the luxury watch market.

For a perfect view of the dial, we apply a double anti-reflective coating to the sapphire crystal.

What exactly is sapphire crystal?

Sapphire is the third hardest transparent material in the world - after diamond and moissanite.

Curved sapphire crystal not only looks good, it makes the durable watch crystal even more resistant.

This makes it virtually impossible for your sapphire crystal watch to get scratched in everyday life.

Diver's Watch Design with Heritage

The design of the Marus 2.0 follows a long tradition of functional diver’s watches developed for professional use since the 1950s. One of its defining features is the unidirectional rotating bezel with 120 clicks and a 60-minute scale, allowing divers to keep precise track of elapsed dive time.

The bezel turns only counterclockwise to prevent accidental extension of dive time, a safety feature that remains a hallmark of true diver’s watches to this day.

Maximum legibility. No compromises

Driven by practicality, the Marus 2.0 was redesigned with significantly broader hour markers and an aluminum bezel, both treated with two-tone Luminova to ensure maximum legibility in any condition.

The result is a watch that performs just as well in daylight as it does in the dark. The dial is complemented by extended hands filled with luminous material and a contrasting seconds hand for precise timekeeping at a glance. The updated bezel features larger numerals and an easy-grip shape that ensures smooth operation, even with wet hands.

What our customers say about us

Why we make Bauhaus watches?

In your search for a classic and durable watch, you are faced with 2 alternatives today:

1. you can buy a watch from a luxury manufacturer for a very high price, or
2. a watch from a trendy brand whose quality is as short-lived as the trend that made the brand popular.

When I worked in a watch manufactory during my school days and was looking for a watch for myself, I realised that there would have to be a 3rd alternative.

3. Since 2016, we have been breaking new ground and developing timeless Bauhaus-style watches that will outlive trends and continue to give pleasure for many years to come. And all that at a fair price.

In the meantime, over 53,000 watch lovers are convinced of our mission and our watch design has received several awards.

The engine on your wrist: the Seiko TMI NH35

The NH35 is a bidirectional automatic caliber featuring Seiko’s patented Magic Lever System, which simplifies and enhances the efficiency of the winding mechanism. This system reduces winding time and extends the power reserve with fewer components.

The rotor generates energy in both directions, so the watch starts with minimal movement. The shock-resistant Diashock system protects the mechanism from impacts and is Seiko’s version of the Incabloc system. Additionally, the hacking seconds function, activated by pulling the crown, allows for precise time setting.

With up to 41 hours of power reserve and a date function, the mechanical NH35 movement is a reliable companion for everyday use.

Maximum comfort. Thoughtfully engineered.

Our new hybrid strap was developed for people who wear their watch daily and expect lasting comfort and quality. The underside is made of soft, skin-friendly silicone. It sits comfortably on the wrist and stays in place even in warm weather or during movement.

The upper side is made of genuine leather, giving the strap a classic and refined appearance. The leather is securely bonded to the silicone and additionally stitched for extra durability. This ensures the strap retains its shape and stands up to frequent wear.

The strap was developed over a period of two years in close collaboration with our manufacturing partners. It combines functionality, comfort and longevity at a high level. Thanks to the integrated quick-release system, the strap can be swapped in seconds without any tools.

Easy strap change without tools

Thanks to the quick-change system, you can give your timepiece a new look in just 10 seconds:

1 — Slide the pin of the spring bar inwards.

2 — Pull the strap off the watch.

3 — Put on a new strap by sliding the pin inwards again and inserting the spring bar one after the other into the holes in the case.

Manual

What exactly does waterproof to 20 atm mean?

The specification 1 bar usually corresponds to 1 atm or 10 m test pressure. At 20 bar, a water column of 200 metres is assumed.

The specification therefore does not refer to a real diving depth, but to the test pressure under laboratory conditions.

With a water density of 20 bar, the Marus is suitable for snorkelling, swimming and scuba diving.

How is the movement maintained?

We recommend that you have your watch serviced every 3-5 years if it is used daily.

Since there are oils and resins in the watch that can dry out over time, they should be replaced regularly, otherwise mechanical abrasion or bearing damage can occur in the movement. Seals should be checked every 5 years and replaced if necessary, crown and barrel every ten years. This ensures that you will enjoy your mechanical watch for a long time.

You can have your watch serviced directly by our watch service or by one of our specialist retail partners in your area.

Is the bezel rotatable?

Yes, you can rotate the bezel anti clock wise.

By adjusting the zero mark (the triangle at 12 o'clock), divers can precisely measure the duration of their dive.
