With Style and Solidarity: the New Naos Edition Küste

The Naos Edition Küste is a harmonious combination of the STERNGLAS bestseller Naos and our community favorite, the Edition Küste (translated as “coast”). Various shades of blue and black represent the boundless sea.

Like a life vest, the orange ring embraces the deep blue dial. The signal yellow hands complete the contrast. For maximum visibility and optimal legibility – even in stormy times.

Like all our watches, the Naos Edition Küste features double-domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a robust 316L stainless steel case. The reliable Ronda 714 quartz movement operates inside.

Worry-free thanks to sapphire crystal

We only use sapphire crystal for our timepieces. This type of watch glass is usually found in the luxury watch market.

For a perfect view of the dial, we apply a double anti-reflective coating to the sapphire crystal.

What exactly is sapphire crystal?

Sapphire is the third hardest transparent material in the world - after diamond and moissanite.

Curved sapphire crystal not only looks good, it makes the durable watch crystal even more resistant.

This makes it virtually impossible for your sapphire crystal watch to get scratched in everyday life.

For a Good Cause

We know that change can only be achieved together. As a German company close to the coast, we start right in our own backyard. Therefore, we donate 10 euros to two regional non-profit organizations for every Naos Edition Küste sold. Both are long-term partners. We are confident that the money is directed where it's needed and truly brings about a meaningful change.

The organization "Küste gegen Plastik" (Coast against Plastic) is dedicated to reducing plastic waste and tackles the root of the problem: production in trade and industry. In a previous fundraising campaign, we were able to raise more than 20,000 euros.

"GoBanyo" provides far more than a shower and fresh clothing to people on the streets with their Hamburg shower bus. Each shower and every conversation brings hope and a sense of self-worth back to those in need. Because washing is dignity.

Edition engraving with limitation number

The engraving on the back shows a close-up of the Northern Fulmar, symbolizing the seas and coasts polluted by plastic.

This timepiece is an absolute collector's item with only 1,999 pieces – and it's unique due to the limited edition number. Previous editions were sold out quickly. Acting fast is worthwhile – also for the environment.

Ronda quartz movement 714 with date function

The Ronda 715 quartz caliber works behind the screw-down steel case back. The movement offers a battery life of up to 60 months and an accuracy of -10/+20 seconds per month.

With a low height of 2.5 mm, the 714 caliber is the ideal engine for our Naos model.

The choice is yours: vintage edition strap or the new signal orange field strap

The velvety-soft interchangeable strap made from Italian vintage leather impresses with its striking cut edge and the two-tone 'pull-up effect'. External influences allow the leather to mature over time, creating the unique vintage look.

Hand-stitched seams at the joints also make it resistant to wear and tear. Made with great care by our German partner leather manufacturer in the heart of Bavaria.

A special highlight is the new "Field" strap in signal orange made from hard-wearing, sweat-resistant nylon.

Easy strap change without tools

Thanks to the quick-change system, you can give your timepiece a new look in just 10 seconds:

1 — Slide the pin of the spring bar inwards.

2 — Pull the strap off the watch.

3 — Put on a new strap by sliding the pin inwards again and inserting the spring bar one after the other into the holes in the case.

How long does the battery last?

The batteries we use typically last between 2-5 years. We recommend having a jeweler or watchmaker perform a battery replacement.
