Adventure on Your Wrist: Naos Edition Argo Bronze

Following the success of the previous Naos Argo Editions, we're setting course for a new chapter: the Naos Edition Argo Bronze – once again inspired by the legendary ship of the Argonauts and the ancient constellation "Argo Navis."

This new edition blends nautical instrument aesthetics with modern Bauhaus design and a refined bronze-coated case.

Worry-free thanks to sapphire crystal

We only use sapphire crystal for our timepieces. This type of watch glass is usually found in the luxury watch market.

For a perfect view of the dial, we apply a double anti-reflective coating to the sapphire crystal.

What exactly is sapphire crystal?

Sapphire is the third hardest transparent material in the world - after diamond and moissanite.

Curved sapphire crystal not only looks good, it makes the durable watch crystal even more resistant.

This makes it virtually impossible for your sapphire crystal watch to get scratched in everyday life.

Inspired by the Sea: Bronze Meets Maritime Dial Design

The 38 mm stainless steel case with PVD bronze coating (8 mm height) echoes the historic materials of maritime navigation tools, framing the heart of the Naos Edition Argo: a multicolored dial. At its center, a deep fir green evokes the depths of the ocean. A fine minute track in vibrant yellow recalls the precise scales of old marine instruments, while the navy blue outer ring adds a sense of depth – like the horizon over the sea.

Bronze-colored skeleton hands coated with beige Luminova ensure readability even at dusk, while the bright red tip of the second hand adds a classic nautical signal accent.

One Ship, One Mission: The Argo and Its Celestial Compass

The fourfold screwed case back features a detailed engraving of the ancient sailing ship Argo, surrounded by constellations. In the finest micro-engraving, the Argo comes to life—each rope, plank, and fold of the sails rendered with precision.

Around the ship, delicate star patterns evoke the night sky routes of the Argonauts. Tiny dotted lines connect the stars, referencing historical sea charts. Each watch is individually numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity, making the maritime story tactile and real.

At its core beats a reliable Miyota GR12 quartz movement with a tone-on-tone date complication at 6 o’clock. Water-resistant up to 5 ATM, it's ready for anything from ocean breezes to sudden downpours.

What our customers say about us

Why we make Bauhaus watches?

In your search for a classic and durable watch, you are faced with 2 alternatives today:

1. you can buy a watch from a luxury manufacturer for a very high price, or
2. a watch from a trendy brand whose quality is as short-lived as the trend that made the brand popular.

When I worked in a watch manufactory during my school days and was looking for a watch for myself, I realised that there would have to be a 3rd alternative.

3. Since 2016, we have been breaking new ground and developing timeless Bauhaus-style watches that will outlive trends and continue to give pleasure for many years to come. And all that at a fair price.

In the meantime, over 53,000 watch lovers are convinced of our mission and our watch design has received several awards.

Miyota quartz movement GR12 with date function and hacking seconds

The Miyota GR12 quartz calibre works behind the screwed steel back.

The movement offers a battery life of up to 36 months and a rate accuracy of -20/ +20 seconds per month.

With a low construction height of 3.5mm, the GR12 calibre is the ideal engine for our Naos.

Any questions left?

Can I order the watch with a different strap?

How long does the battery last?

The batteries we use typically last between 2-5 years. We recommend having a jeweler or watchmaker perform a battery replacement.

Did you know that ...

...the ancient Greeks believed aventurine brought courage and optimism? The name "aventurine" comes from the Italian "a ventura," meaning "by chance" or "at luck."

This fascinating mineral belongs to the quartz family and contains tiny particles, such as mica or hematite, that create its characteristic sparkling effect – a phenomenon known as aventurescence.

Originally used mainly in jewelry, aventurine is increasingly finding applications in other areas, as its unique shimmer adds a special elegance and depth. With its star-like gleam, aventurine is a material that attracts attention and radiates timeless beauty.
